Serves 2
Beef
Ingredients
1 Large Beef Flank Steak (400g)
1 Large carrot, washed and diced
A Handful of long beans, washed and sliced
1 Large potato, washed and cubed
Marinade for the beef
2 tbsp truffle olive oil
2 Cloves garlic, minced
A pinch of Himalayan salt
2 Tbsp light soy sauce
1 Tbsp honey
1/2 Ground black pepper
Methods
Prepare the steak by tenderising it. You can achieve this by gently pounding it and creating small holes with a fork.
In a bowl, combine the marinade ingredients and ensure the steak is thoroughly coated.
Marinate the steak for at least 2 hours or, for the best results, overnight. Cover the bowl and refrigerate it during marination.
Rinse the vegetables, and chop as desired, ensuring evenness., Lightly coat them with a small amount of oil. Sprinkle a pinch of salt, then bake them at 185 degrees Celsius for approximately 25-30 minutes.
After marinating, pan-fry the steak over medium heat until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Rest the steak for a few minutes, slice and serve it hot alongside the baked vegetables.
